Juan Ceva is an aerospace engineer. He has worked on spacecraft navigation for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and is now an independent consultant in Pasadena, California, where he resides. He is a collector of antique maps of his homeland Majorca and the Balearic Islands. He spends his free time studying the early cartography of the Mediterranean and promoting this body of research in the English-speaking world.
